UVM Health Network/Porter Medical Center Extends Specialty Services to Brandon

MIDDLEBURY– The UVM Health Network/Porter Medical Center has recently expanded clinical services and added new providers at its Brandon Primary Care office according to Porter President and CEO Dr. Fred Kniffin.

Earlier this year, Brandon Primary Care welcomed Todd Smith, APRN and Renee Bratspis, MD to their primary care staff, and starting in April the clinic will be offering new specialized Cardiology and Prenatal Care services.

“Improving access to specialized services for our patients in the Brandon area is a key priority for our organization, and we are very pleased to make it easier for patients in the southern part of our service area to receive cardiology services, including echocardiogram testing, and prenatal care rather than having to travel to Middlebury for these services”, Kniffin said.

Prenatal care and a host of other women’s health care services will be offered by Dr. Renee Bratspis, who recently joined the Porter Women’s Health practice where she also works in addition to her time in Brandon.

Echocardiograms and other cardiology services will be provided by Dr. Gavin Noble by appointment. According to Kniffin, Dr. Noble will initially see patients in Brandon 1-2 days per month, but that schedule may increase over time if there is additional demand for these services. “Cardiology and Prenatal Care are essential clinical services and it is our goal to ensure that our patients in Brandon and surrounding areas do not have to travel far to obtain this necessary care,” Kniffin added.
