Get the Care You Need. We’re Ready, Safe and Open for You.
Thank you for doing your part by staying home to keep you, your family and our communities safe. We are now gradually and safely bringing back many of our services, and the providers you know and trust are here to safely deliver the care you need through video, telephone and in-person visits. We look forward to welcoming you into our facilities for outpatient and elective procedures. Don’t hesitate to call your provider with any of your health questions or concerns.
How We’re Helping to Protect You and Others
- Visitor Restrictions: To protect the health and safety of our patients and families, our staff and our community, we have temporarily changed our Welcoming Policy. As always, patients are welcome and encouraged to seek necessary care. With few exceptions, no visitors are permitted at this time and until further notice. Read full details here.
- Entrance Screening: If you need to enter the hospital or our facilities, we’ll take your temperature and ask you a few questions. If you have respiratory complaints or a fever, you’ll be routed safely to care.
- Masking: For everyone’s protection, masks are required for all patients, visitor and staff members at our hospital or facilities. One will be provided to you if you do not have your own. Please make sure you wear it properly, covering your nose and mouth fully, for the duration of your visit. If you have concerns about your mask or wearing one, please speak with a staff member.
- Hand Sanitizer: When you arrive, during your time with us and after your appointment, please use the available hand sanitizer. You may be asked to clean your hands during your healthcare experience. When you get home, wash your hands, wipe down your phone, laptop or tablet and earpieces. Then wash your hands again for a minimum of 20 seconds with soap and warm water, and dry them thoroughly.
- Physical Distancing: We’ve made changes to our waiting rooms and seating areas to support safe physical distancing of at least 6 feet. Chairs are separated and some common seating areas may be temporarily removed. Please leave the chairs in place and refrain from adjusting the spacing. In some cases, waiting rooms may not be utilized. Instead, you will be brought directly to an exam room to see your provider. If waiting in line, such as at the pharmacy or a check-in desk, please maintain a 6 foot distance between you and others.
- Cleaning and Sanitizing: Maintaining a clean environment is always important in medical facilities, especially now. We are following strict cleaning guidelines. We have always cleaned exam rooms in between patients and are taking extra precaution by cleaning common areas such as check-in desks, waiting rooms, door knobs, faucets and other high-touch surfaces multiple times a day. To support safety measures, we have temporarily removed magazines and newspapers from our waiting rooms.
What to Expect for Your Appointment or Procedure
Whether you’re a patient with a scheduled appointment, test or procedure, or need to accompany a patient to one of our facilities, here is information to make your time with us more comfortable while ensuring your safety and the protection of our patients and staff.
While our temporary restriction of visitors remains in place, you will need to attend your appointments or scheduled procedures alone. Being in the hospital alone, whether for an appointment or a procedure, can be uncomfortable. We hope this information helps you to know we’re here to support you as you come back for your care. Please let a staff member know if we can do anything to help make your visit more comfortable.
- Share Your Concerns with Us: If you’re feeling uncomfortable, nervous or stressed before or during your visit, please let your provider or a staff member know. Medical appointments can cause anxiety, but these feelings of unease may be greater now. Rest assured, we’re here to help.
- Know Where You’re Going: If you’re visiting us for the first time, review our hospital maps to familiarize yourself with the location. You can also call your provider’s office for help with directions. Once you arrive, ask any staff member for help or stop at our information desks.
- Review Provided Instructions Before You Arrive: In some cases, you will receive detailed instructions about your appointment or procedure ahead of time. This may include information such as eating or drinking specifications or restrictions, taking or pausing medication, pre-procedure hygiene, coordinating a driver, or pre-procedure COVID-19 testing. Some instructions may direct you to wait in your car and call your provider upon arrival. This is being done to help support social distancing and traffic flow in our facilities.
- Bring Your Phone or Device, Fully Charged: Make sure your phone or device is fully charged and bring a charger along if you anticipate a lengthy wait. Free WiFi is available. Ask any staff member for assistance if you have difficulty accessing the internet. And, if you plan to use audio, please use your earpieces or headphones to respect the quiet needs of other patients and staff.
- Bring Things You Enjoy: Have your favorite music, TV show, podcast or game downloaded to your device to pass the time – don’t forget your earpieces or headphones, please – particularly if your appointment may be lengthy. Books, magazines or quiet handheld hobbies, like knitting, are also great for relaxing while you wait. To support safety measures, we have temporarily removed magazines and newspapers from our waiting rooms.
- Plan for Necessary Food, Drink or Necessities: Currently, our cafés and gift shop may be closed or have modified hours. Please ask a staff member or check our website for details or bring any necessities with you to your appointment. Where seated dining is available, seating has been adjusted to support social distancing. Please note that eating and drinking is not permitted in certain waiting rooms to help support patients who are fasting. Thank you for cooperation.
- Be Ready for Questions, Answers and Notes: Before your appointment, write down any questions you have for your provider or things you’d like them to know about your health. Take notes during your discussion with your provider, whether on paper or your electronic device, so you can refer back to them once home. You may also receive information about your treatment, medicines or follow-up appointments. If you will need an interpreter at your appointment, please contact your provider’s office ahead of time so they can make necessary arrangements.
- Connect with Your Family Virtually: If you’d like a family member or friend to join you by phone for your appointment, please have their phone number handy and let your provider know.
- Visiting the Pharmacy: Our pharmacies are open. Please support safe physical distancing of at least 6 feet from other patients and our staff. Mail order prescriptions may be available. Please speak with a pharmacy team member, in person or by phone, to discuss your needs.
