Sharing space with the hospital’s General Surgery Clinic will improve convenience for patients seeking multiple medical services
Middlebury, VT – The Podiatry practice at University of Vermont Health Network – Porter Medical Center has relocated its outpatient clinic onto the hospital’s campus, bringing the clinic closer to other outpatient offices and hospital-based services.
The Podiatry clinic, formerly located on Court Street in Middlebury, is now located at 116 Porter Drive, operating out of medical office space shared with the hospital’s General Surgery clinic. The clinic’s phone number has not changed: 802-388-1200.
The move will not impact any services provided at the clinic, said Timothy Urich, practice manager, and will improve convenience for patients seeking multiple hospital-based services.
“We’re happy to be on-site at the hospital, so we’re available to meet all of patients’ needs and provide more convenience for those who have multiple medical appointments,” said Urich. “Porter Podiatry will continue to provide all of the services that were available at our previous location.”
Porter’s Podiatry practice provides a wide range of office and hospital-based surgical services, from diabetic foot care and custom foot orthotics to reconstructive surgery, heel spur surgery and more. Last May the practice added a registered nurse to its staff to expand its ability to provide routine, outpatient foot care.
Podiatrist Peter Miller, DPM, has provided foot care to Middlebury and the surrounding communities for three decades. The clinic currently serves more than 2,600 patients.
Urich said the clinic has been communicating directly with patients over the last several months, sharing information on the clinic’s upcoming move and ensuring that no disruptions in care occurred as a result of the transition.
Patients with questions should contact the office directly at 802-388-1200.
