Winter 22/23 Self-Management Programs

The following virtual classes are free and open to the public:

Ongoing Virtual Quit Smoking Program

Participants now have the option to receive ongoing support throughout the year. Your workshop leaders and fellow participants will guide and support you to create a plan for quitting tobacco, staying motivated and finding ways to manage stress and cravings.

Vermont Quit Partners offer FREE gum, lozenges, and patches.

Virtual Diabetes Prevention Program

The Diabetes Prevention Program has been proven to cut the risk of developing type 2 diabetes by more than half through assisting individuals in making small lifestyle changes. In this program, participants will learn to create plans for action and change, make healthier eating choices, incorporate more physical activity into busy schedules, reduce stress and stay motivated.

Option #1: Beginning Thursday, December 8th, 2022 I 2:00 – 3:00 pm

Option #2: Beginning Monday, January 9th, 2023 I 4:00 – 5:00 pm

Virtual Diabetes Management Program

The Diabetes Management Program equips participants with the tools they need to eat better, manage stress and feel less depressed, better monitor blood sugar levels, have a better relationship with their health care team and work on increasing physical activity levels.

Virtual High Blood Pressure Management Program

The High Blood Pressure Management Program helps participants learn how to better manage their high blood pressure at home. Participants will learn the basics of controlling blood pressure, how to monitor blood pressure, how to make healthier eating choices, reduce stress and manage medications.
