Emily Gaukler, MD

Emily Gaukler is one of the newest staff members to join Addison Family Medicine Practice. She just recently completed her combined residency training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics in Delaware at Christiana Care Health Services associated with Thomas Jefferson University where she served as Chief Resident. Prior to that she completed her medical school training at University of Rochester and obtained an undergraduate degree in Geology and International Relations at Brown University. The idea of primary care is what initially drew her to medicine and she is very happy to now be devoting herself full time to this endeavor. When not working, she is looking forward to getting to spend more time outdoors hiking again and sampling the good restaurants that Vermont has to offer. She also has a passion for travel. She has studied abroad in Egypt, spent months doing public health research in India, and more recently helped out in rural clinics in Nepal after their catastrophic earthquake.

He is a lifetime member of the Wilderness Medicine society, frequently attending their national conferences.

Dr. Harris and his family have vacationed at their home on the lake in Ferrisburgh for over 20 years enjoying hiking, kayaking and all that the region has to offer. He recently decided to move to Vermont permanently. He states "to be able to live and work in Vermont is a dream come true". He is happy and proud to join Addison Family Practice as a Primary Care physician in Internal Medicine and a Gastroenterology consultant.
