IT

Healthcare Information System Specialist: (posted 9/1/11) Full time position.  This position reports to the Director of IT and will provide ongoing support for the hospital’s MEDITECH HIS/EMR system.  This individual will assist in the daily operation of the HCIS system as well as support other IT initiatives as assigned.  The successful candidate must possess an extensive knowledge of healthcare business and clinical needs and have the ability to apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to guide and assist the user group on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems.

NUTRITION SERVICES

Cafeteria Assistant: (posted 1/27/12) 10:00am – 6:30pm Sunday through Thursday.  Responsibilities include preparing and serving foods for staff cafeteria.  Candidate must be self -directed, have customer service skills, cash handling experience, basic food prep experience. ServeSafe certified a plus, will train the right candidate.

Dietitian: (date posted 1/16/12) Flexible, full time position for an American Dietetic Association registered Dietitian to join the Nutrition Services Team at Porter Hospital providing medical nutritional care, therapy and education in a small community hospital. Primary responsibilities include conducting screening and assessments of patients, providing outpatient nutrition counseling, providing nutrition education to patients, families and staff, preparing meal plans for patients with special dietary needs, conducting quality assurance in related areas and assisting the Nutrition Services Manager in related clinical areas.  Position includes rotating weekend coverage.  Current Vermont State Dietitian license required.
