The Middlebury American Legion and Auxiliary announced this week a pledge of $40,000 in support of The 75th Anniversary Campaign for Porter Hospital.
The $3 million fund-raising campaign which was launched last June, now stands at $1.2 million thanks to the support of Porter board members, the PMC Auxiliary,
members of the medical staff and a few generous community friends of the Hospital.
"This outstanding leadership commitment is wonderful news for Porter Hospital and our ambitious capital campaign", said PMC President, James L. Daily. "The men and women of our local American Legion have once again stepped forward with a major indication of their generous support for our local hospital and our community."
The capital campaign will support a $14 million
construction project which will address a variety of serious and chronic facility issues according to Daily, including a new surgical suite, ambulatory surgery and a birthing center.
"We are deeply grateful to the Middlebury American Legion for their participation in what will be the largest and most important project in our 75-year history", Daily added. Back to Capital Campaign page. | |
