The 75th
Anniversary Campaign for Porter Hospital received another major boost this week following the announcement of a commitment of $40,000 from the Middlebury Lions Club in support of this effort.
"The Middlebury Lions Club has a long and wonderful history of supporting many important causes and projects in our community, and has been most generous to Porter Hospital in many, many ways", said PMC President James L. Daily.
"Obviously we are extremely grateful to the
Lions for this key leadership pledge in support of the largest and most ambitious project in our history."
The $3 million fund-raising campaign which was launched last June, now stands at $1.1 million thanks to the support of Porter board members, the PMC Auxiliary, members of the medical staff and a few generous community friends of the Hospital.
"We are off to a solid start thanks to leadership gifts such as this pledge from the Middlebury Lions Club, but there is
still much work to do as we head into the next phase of our fund-raising efforts", Daily said. Back to Capital Campaign page. | |
